Good Futon Choice !
I purchased this item in the expresso color (essentially black). It weighs 100 pounds so have some help when you go up the stairs . It comes in a huge box and is one piece. I did it by myself but it was a bit of a struggle ! The feet ( a poly plastic material ) for the unit are in a zippered area in the back in a box... those simply scew on to the bottom feet threads.. it has an additonal leg (that also is concealed in a back zipper) that props it up when folded out for the bed setting (there is a button that controls this next to it ).. it has two other back settings. One that is nearly vertical and another for perhaps a 3/4 setting.This futon looks like leather and has nice lines. It looks just like the photo. It sits well and is fairly firm. Made in China and the instruction sheet is funny when you read it . But you can figure it out. I think this product may have received a bad review due to abuse. No futon or any furniture is going to stand up to children jumping all over it. Good Buy !!!

Poor structure quality
We bought 2 of these in July 2012 and before the year even ended, both futon has failed on us. Both had springs ripped from it's latch and you could actually ripped through the bottom of the sofas. There's about 9 or so s-shape springs in each sofa and about 4/9 are broken after normal usage by kids and sometmes adults. These futon aren't cheap either. At $280 each, that's a lot of hard earned money. Very dissappointed and it's nearly impossible to repair those springs. Less than 6 months of usage...definitely did not get out money's worth and we don't have Walmart of the manufacturer's customer support. Great looking furniture, poooooor quality.
