Very Nice Futon
I ordered this futon as a living room set replacement for my smaller apartment and to provide a place for guests to sleep. There was a bit of a mix up between Walmart and the shipping company - Walmart sent me an email telling me there was a shipping delay, but the item was actually on it's way. Very easy assembly, just screw the wooden feet on. The red looks more like a deep red, but still looks more expensive than it was. The only reason I did not give it 5 Stars is because I don't like the fact that the back of the futon is black and I do not have it placed against the wall. Also, the seam is hard if you have it flattened out. You may want to invest in a futon pad if you will have guests sleeping on it.

Great for a small space
This was a replacement for a similar style sofa bed that wasn't so comfortable. This is an improvement, yet the middle of the futon in the bed position is still quite uncomfortable to sleep on. Either side is ok to sleep on, but you have to be pretty small to fit on either side only. The faux Leather is nice & realistic. I love the Vanilla color. I also LOVE the wooden leg posts. It looks elegant & expensive. Great for a small space or a small person. But if you're over 5'2", good luck sleeping with your head & feet on it at the same time. It's short. The latch that locks the adjustable side does take a while to catch into position. But all in all, its nice!

Great Quality for the Price!
Very pleased with this purchase. Looks black in the photo but is in fact a very dark, rich brown color. Shipping was much quicker than estimated, received within 5 days, Pilot Freight customer service was courteous and set up my delivery appointment over the phone. Be patient with the delivery men, you may get someone who does not speak English well. Delivery guys were really nice (Ethiopian gentlemen) but didn't understand that my building has an elevator when they called to confirm that I was home and ended up hauling the 100lb box up four flights of stairs! Set up is super easy, screw the legs in and that's it. Its firm but a cushioned firm if that makes sense :) You won't want to plop down on this item but for me its quite comfortable. Both this item and the tufted faux leather chair I paired it with have a quality look to them. Neither look like they cost under $200. Extremely pleased with both purchases!

A Must Have!
I was pretty skeptical ordering a piece of furniture online without testing it at the store first, but am glad I decided on THIS one! I had it sent to the store for me to pick up and it fit perfectly in the bed of a F-150 pick up. Just needed an extra person to help get it up the stairs. It was a snap to put together and needed NO tools even! The legs screwed right in and all I had to do was click the back part up into place. I was very pleased at how firm the cushioning is, and seems as though is won't be one of those sofas that sags in the middle after a while--though I just got it and will know soon enough! Overall, it looks amazing and the rich red color looks expensive. I may even order another. IF you're on the fence on this one, I say go for it!

Excellent Buy
For a guest living area, I wanted nice-looking furniture that doesn't cost much. This futon sofa looks very nice in person, more expensive looking than $199, and I'm very pleased with it. I wanted a futon sofa in white with dark-brown legs and that has a continuous back rest and seat (instead of an obvious left side and right side) for comfort and versatility. The only assembly I had to do was to screw in the 4 legs.To complete the room, I also bought 2 Avenue Six Laguna Brushed Fabric Chairs in Oyster ($264 for 2) and a 3-Piece Parsons Coffee & End Tables in Espresso ($59 for set), totaling $522 for the entire living room -- see my attached photo. By the way, I'm very pleased with the chairs, too. As for the coffee table and end tables -- they are perfectly adequate; they are very light to lift, but not flimsy; not bad for the price.The reason I'm inspired to write this review and to mention the Laguna chairs is because, as luck would have it, the white color of the chairs matches almost exactly the white color of the sofa. The white of both products is creamy white with a slight yellow undertone -- like the color of Swiss cheese. When I ordered these items, I prayed that the whites would match and the dark-browns would match. The browns match okay, although not as perfectly as the whites. Lastly, the "leather" finish of the sofa and the "suede" feel of the chairs really complement each other.I'm so delighted with the entire ensemble. If only everything in life (or my other Walmart orders, which is another story) would work out so well!Read more
