Fragile, Firm, and Poor Quality Packaging
My futon arrived earlier this week in a thin cardboard box, it was very low quality cardboard. The kind you would expect when shipping pillows or something light grade, not a large and heavy futon. It had only a black cloth wrapped around to protect it, no extra foam or cardboard on the corners or inside. The box had large punctured holes in it and the corners where scraped down with holes. I was surprised that the futon only had minimal damage on the corners and bottom, but I ordered a NEW futon, not a USED one. The manufacturer DHP (Dorel Home Products) also makes the Emily futon which I was also considering, but this really makes me unsure about ordering another item from them online, after I return this futon because of the shipping damage. Overall the sofa looks nice, but has thin padding, not as lush as the pictures makes it seem. I would compare it to my everlast exercise gym mat, since my rear was pressed somewhat flat when I sat on it. So extended sitting could be problem. When laying down it felt better, like a very firm mattress. If you use a foam topper it should be alright if you have extended guests. The durability is also questionable, the legs are metal but hollow, however I think they should be alright, my biggest complaint is the thin leather. The damage during shipping really shows how thin it is. I really fear that this futon would not last more than a year or two before it looks are scratched and scraped, since I have kids. So if you need temporary furniture or are on a budget, without kids or pets, it should not be a problem. And for the price and regular non-fright shipping, it's a pretty good deal.

I LOVE IT!
I fell in love with it online but had a few doubts. I decided to order it after reading the specifications and I am glad I did. Very sturdy construction and easy to assemble. just put the legs on and turn it over. Does not sit too low. I am 5' 3 and i hate sitting really low. It is comfortable but not too firm. The faux leather is a good quality material not cheap looking.

Having just moved to a new country Walmart is the best place to get what you need without breaking the bank and looking good. We bought this Futon Sofabed as a set (with ottoman and chair).The sofabed only is good size for people under 6", it is firm but comfortable to lay on. It is firm to sit on but wouldn't be comfortable over a period of time (I have a flat butt!). I like to put a pillow/cushion behind me and sometimes sit on it. But it doesn't bother me as this is my first purchase. If you spend a lot of time on the sofa, I recommend you spend a bit more money getting a softer one.I often have oil mark on mine because I use coconut oil on my skin all the time but it's easy to clean with a damp cloth. I did 4/5 for durability because you can feel a bit of uneveness when sitting on it and Faux Leather tend to stretch and break over time. It's still sturdy but it doesn't feel quite right if you are particular (sitting mainly). But I don't care and happy what I paid for.Easy to assemble (just screw the legs on). I'm a small woman and did it all by myself. (It's heavy but you can manage if you're smart about it ;-p). Delievered by FedEx with no problem at all. I recommend have a vacumn cleaner on hand. There are these many many tiny balls that came out of the box. No idea what they are for.Overall, I highly recommend it especially for people who are not stable yet and need an affordable solution.

Poor, poor quality!
Let’s start with the only good feature of this futon, the pillow-top padding. It is firm and supportive- that is it.The rest of this couch is total junk. It comes folded in half and you have to install center legs to support the contraption. I know they are shown in the ad, but they look worse in person and do not true up.What they don’t show in the listing is a picture of the back, and for good reason- it’s a disaster. The fabric is tissue thin; ours arrived with two tears in it and from behind, you can clearly see uncovered wood poking through where the hinges are! The platform that supports the back, when reclined to the bed position, is WAY too obvious. It looks like an aircraft carrier back there. We can’t even but a table behind it because it sticks out too far. For $300 the futon should have a nice chrome one piece base, not a collection of screw-in, bolt-on legs that look like metal tree trunk stumps.Not anywhere close to the price they want for it, avoid!!Read more
