Would've been a great purchase if not broken.
The ordering and delivery process was simple but upon opening it after delivery I had noticed that the wooden frame of the futon was actually broken in two spots. I'm not sure if it was broken before shipped or if it was broken during the shipping process. I would've sent it back right away but unfortunately I needed this futon a few days later for guests (which is why I ordered it in the first place) and I wouldn't have been able to accommodate my guest if I had sent it back because I needed it a couple of days later. For the price of the futon + shipping I could've purchased a much better product from a local furniture company for a few dollars more and would've been getting a much nicer and more durable product. Lesson learned..... If you order this product I suggest picking it up from a local store instead of having it delivered. That way you know what you are getting and you're not paying a ridiculous price for a sub par product.

More than my moneys worth
I first bought a futon from a "big box" store, it was very heavy, but great looking. After a little over a month, the adjustment apparatus wouldn't allow me to set it anymore, so I returned it, then searched for a replacement at several stores with no luck. (I needed something that converted to a bed for my small apartment)My last stop was Walmart before I quit for the day, and when I saw this sofa bed, I was extremely pleased. It cost much less than the futon, and for $30 more, I also purchased the matching recliner. The assembly was minimal, and the size was compact enough to fit both pieces in my 10ft x 12ft living/bedroom. Two pieces of great looking, inexpensive, easy to assemble, compact furniture with 4 functions.What an amazing deal! I couldn't be happier.

I did not expect much but I was happily surprised
I purchased this sofa be for extra seating and sleeping space in my home office. It needed to be small and I didn't have much of a budget. I did not expect to be so happy with it. It looks good and is comfortable for seating. I haven't used it yet as a bed. Overall, I am really very happy with it. One screw did not thread, but other than that it wasn't hard to put together.

Nice for the Price
This fits really nicely in my small apartment living room. I like the leather look because the cat hair will wipe off easily. A friend put this together for me and he had only a little trouble, possibly because the black makes it hard to see details. The mattress is horrible. Very thin and you can practically see the springs. However, for less than $300 what can you expect? I will replace it with something nicer before I expect my guest to arrive in November.In all, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Affordable sleeper
You get what you pay for, but as far as sofas under three hundred goes it is nice. It was shipped for free and that helped a lot too.I got this sofa for occasional guest to sleep on, so I did not want to spend too much money. It looks fine and most importantly fits the space I have. Pull out mechanism works fine, but mattress that comes with it is garbage. I tossed it into trash without unpacking and got cheapest Ikea foam 4" mattress. Fit is tight, but it folds back. 3" or 3.5" mattress probably would be a better option, but I did not see one. Original metal spring mattress was probably about 2" thick.Since new mattress is a lot thicker, there is small bulge in the middle now. This make siting of adult kind of uncomfortable as you tend to slide off of it now. I've sat on it a few times and it does not really bother me. After all this is not the reason I got it in a first place. Two guests so far had no complaints.Read more
