Cute but not comfortable

The item looks great but is hard as a rock. A lot there are small beads that fall out all over the room... not good if you have pets.

Futon

We were expecting it to be hard to put together. The only thing we had to do was screw the legs in place. It was smaller than we thought it would be but we still liked it.

Still new

This convertible is perfect for a single teacher living in an economical one room suite without a lot of company.It is new, so very firm. When as a bed, the split between the "click clack" can be felt.It was extremely easy to screw on the plastic wooden feet and looks great in my space.

Nice-looking futon

I wanted something inexpensive for a spare bedroom. I haven't tried it out yet in terms of sleeping, but it's pretty solid and attractive. I like the color, as well. It's fairly firm, but comfortable to sit on. I have to admit, I paid a handyman to put it together, because I am a coward, so I can't tell you if it was hard to assemble. however, he was done pretty quickly, and told me it was a good solid piece of furniture.

Amazing deal!!!

Well, we purchased this bed because it was at a great price and it seemed to be a very sturdy bed. We did the site to store deal and it was a breeze. We placed the order on 2/1/10. The first piece (Futon mattress)arrived on 2/8/10 and the other 2 (twin mattress and bed)on 2/11/10 and 2/12/10. So, it was a lot faster than they tell you. Putting it together is a breeze as well, as long as you follow the instructions. I would highly recommend taking the screws and laying them out somewhere and labeling them as they are in the box they come in. We got them mixed up and had to guess which ones we were supposed to use. But that was our fault. Its pretty simple to put together however but it will take you between 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. The frame is very sturdy. I am amazed, considering the price for this bed. So far so good. We'll see how it holds up. Oh yeah, and the box weighs 150lbs. So, take someone with you.

Bought for my six year old son.

I was worried when reading some of the other reviews. The bed came quick, four days after ordering. The box was pretty beat up. I was afraid there would be a lot of missing pieces. Thank goodness there was no missing pieces. Other reviews said the bed was shaky, this one is not. I am fully comfortable to get on the top bunk. It's heavy and does not shake or feel unstable. It took us about 4 hours to put together, would have been less. I accidentally put a bolt in the wrong place, stripped it trying to get it out.. so took a good hour working on getting the screw out (luckily I was still able to use it in bed). This is when my fiancé took over reading instructions. Very good quality bed and I can tell this will be used for my son for a very long time!

I love this Bed

I bought this bed for my little girl. She loves it. I put it together myself and it took me more than two hours lol. I see a lot of reviews that say it only took 2 hours, well I lost track of time. It might have been because my little girl wanted to help I don't know. Either way the bed is great it is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. I really didn't want it to be so big but hey it's still great. It holds me as well and I am 198, 5'8. I had to test it before she used it. I only had it for 2 days now, but we love it.

A Great Bed!

This bed is very sturdy and a wonderful addition to my kids room! The downside......The instructions said approx time for setting up the bed was 2 hours. HAHAHA Try 6 hours...Although I did have my 15 year old helping me, The instructions were confusing, 1. they had the wrong letter stickers on some of the parts so you had to "figure out where they go" 2. I had to DRILL a hole because on one of the bottom parts they had MISDRILLED one of the holes to where it didnt match up with the other side. 3. I didn't have one of the allen wrench size to fit my drill so alot of it was done by hand. But, all and all after we got through the trials of putting it up it is a GREAT Bed and Couch. I suggest if you get this bed to get the 6" mattresses with it. They are very comfortable and you can not feel 1 bar come through. Between my Son and I we are about 350 lbs and we were both sitting on the couch comfortably and never felt unsafe! It is a GREAT BUY!!!!

Kids love it!!

We just bought this futon bunk bed, but my mother has one at her house exactly the same. She's had her's for over a yr with 2 rambunctious boys (8 & 11 yrs) using it every day as their main bed and hang out area. Her's is still in fine shape and my son wanted one like it. We just bought ours, shipped to our home very quickly, everything was in good shape. We did end up missing 2 plastic clips that help hold the bunk bed rails in place, not nothing major. There are ALOT of pieces to this bed so it takes a bit to put together. It looks good and seems reasonably sturdy. My son loves it so far & it will provide enough sleeping area for when other kids sleep over. I did want it in the silver/grey but for some reason that color was much more $$ than black, so we opted to save & go with black. 4 stars because of the missing clips but I would buy again if I needed one.Read more

Great for guest room

We bought both the sofa and chaise for our guest room, very pleased! Color is not arctic white, it's a ivory/buttery color (which is what we wanted). These two pieces together measure 100 inches wide - recommend measuring your space to ensure fit.Opened flat, this combo will provide a twin width guest bed, a single width guest bed, and placed side by side: a queen sized guest bed. You can arrange this set as an L-shaped sectional (as we have in pic), or the sofa as a bed and chaise as a lounge chair, or lay flat the two pieces and keep as a bed.... this flexibility is awesome. For sleeping: Great for visitors whether two friends rooming up with separate beds, a single guest, or a couple. The padding on set is medium-firm so recommend a topper when sleeping on (or you can top with air mattress using sheet to keep in place.Pros: The price is fantastic for a versatile, functional guest room set up, it is a nice looking sectional with decent size. Cons: A little firm, back flip up makes loud noise when positioning, durability is unknown at this stage but with occasional use may last a few years.

Great Futon

This futon is beautiful! The leather is so nice and it was so easy to assemble...just screw in the legs and wa-la! It looks amazing under my daughters silver loft bed also purchased from Walmart .com. I can't believe the price for a leather futon! We haven't used t as a bed yet and it's in between a single and a full so I'm not exactly sure about sheets. I guess full size would be the best option. It has the click-clack system for lowering it to a bed which is so easy and Rachel side is separate which is a cool portion for laying down a pet or baby for a nap while you sit up and read etc..on the other side. Love it!

Awesome fits small modern home!

I ordered Emily futon from here and wasn't happy with it it had the split back and it never seen that both sides were ever even, I returned that one in ordered this one sometime later, became quickly the color is a soft white not appear paperwhite but definitely not a vanilla, I have a 713 square-foot home and I love modern furniture so I ordered this to go with my vintage chair, if it's imperfect the only thing I did was spray-painted the legs a silver which looks great more modern even, it's what I expected it's a futon it's not the most comfortable but I only spent about two hours a night watching TV so it's perfect I'm 5'8" I can lay down on it and still be comfortable.If you're looking for a modern futon that's a great price this is perfect like I said before if you're looking at ones that have the split back they do not ever lay completely even.

Easy to assemble, just screw on the legs and you are done. Using in an office situation, but seems sturdy enough to use in a living situation. I didn't like the light colored legs so I painted them, but it looks great in my office!!

Nice and comfy

Just received my futon yesterday, it is very comfortable, works well for sitting area, nice white faux leather that feels very soft.Gives a nice modern look to a room. Other than that, it is pretty short futon, I don't think tall person would be 100% comfortable sleeping on it, but because I'm only 5,6 it works well for me.Overall, Im happy with the purchase

Color not correct but otherwise oh yes

This is what I wanted, I thought I was getting a true white futon. Nope in person it's winter white like an eggnog. If I paint my office a cool color like royal blue, which is what I was leaning toward, the color will appear more white. The material appealed to me since it's a leatherette, easy to clean and I treat everything like fragile glass, so unless you are using for frat parties, this will last for years and years. I am using as the focal point in my home office/fashion theme small entertaining room. It unfolds for a bed and can hold up to 800 pound sumo wrestlers so I knew it would hold two people nicely! I'm also gonna use as my third bed in addition to the spare bedroom, which I have a small list of little bffs, aka my friends little girls, that will be sleeping on this. I'm 34 and this is not your college living type of futon! I can decorate like college somewhat, which I miss terribly, but still throw something together that will look high end. This looks like at least 250 dollars, in a naked room, so by the time I'm done, will look like 500! So if you can live with the winter white eggnog color and work with it then it's a must buy! Also the box is huge and 74 inches long and when picked up at site to store it wouldn't fit in my range rover and barely in my fiancés hummer h3 so measure your vehicle before going to pickup.Read more
